How we vet recipient partners
At RevUp Richmond, we prioritize accountability and effectiveness in our partner organizations. We partner with providers who meet rigorous federal and state standards, including those outlined by the Older Americans Act Title III-C nutrition standards. We prefer organizations that are contracted through Area Agencies on Aging, ensuring that they operate with transparency and accountability. This commitment to high standards ensures that your donations are used effectively to serve the seniors who need it most.
How proceeds flow
After the sale of each donated vehicle and after accounting for towing and processing costs, approximately 70-80% of the gross proceeds go directly to our partner organizations. This means that a significant portion of your donation directly supports meal programs for seniors. The remaining funds are distributed according to the program ratio applied, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to meet the greatest needs in our community.
